Default Remote Control For T.V., DVD, VCR, Computer Monitors etc.

My Verizon Samsung i730 had a remote control app for t.v., dvd players, vcr's, stereos, and you could add devices by pointing infrared of remote control to phones infrared and it learned the device, they need to come up with a remote control app so I can mess with people at restaurants, bars, and turn off peoples computer monitors at work lol don't you guys feel that would be very useful app???

G1 does not have a IR transceiver so it is not possible to "learn" or transmit IR codes.

I know it doesn't have an infrared port but they can preset the codes for all brand devices and you can select from the list what you want, and as for the i730 yeah it was a brick but at the time it was a pretty neat brick with "innovative" apps lol

We also need Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint mobile for the G1, i love this phone!

Try the "Gmote" app. It is sweet.
