recommend me a ROM for running Hero/sense

Hi guys, I'm currently running JF 1.51 UK (T-Mobile G1) but I really love the look of the HTC Sense interface
can you guys recommend me a rom that uses the HTC interface/widgets?

I've been looking around XDA and cannot make head nor tail of all the posts, a lot of you on here recommend the cyan, once that's installed, are the updates easy to do (is it a matter of alt+s) and, most importantly, does it keep all my settings/apps with each minor update?

Is there anything major not working with the cyan builds? (camera, video etc)

Everything is working with cyans roms . Yes , its as simple as alt s ( even easier if you have cyanogens recovery also installed

No, Cyanogens ROMS are very stable 1.5 builds... If you're looking for stable HTC Hero builds, try JAC's Hero ROM:

no . but you can put the hero theme on .

The Hero roms with Sence ui are still not ready for prime time as the main OS on the G1's, it is fun to put it on and play with it but there are still some bugs in the porting of the OS that prevent it from being a main OS. One big one is that Sence ui crashes and needs to restart most of the time when you go two levels down in any window open, also its just a bit slow in the G1.

Just not ready yet, give it a month or so.

The DrizzynRosie build is pretty great.

I believe you need the new SPL for it.

Is the Drizzy build stable enough for day to day use? I tried JacHero about a week ago and was not impressed, it was very very slow and many of my apps simply didn't work.

just tried JAC and it was VERY slow, just putting on Drizzy now
