process android.process acore has stopped...

I just bought a phone (HTC Dream) off of someone and got this process android.process acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again error a few times but eventually it went away. I do not know much about these phones, I am still learning. lol

Anyways, my bf dropped it in water earlier today. It comes on and I can get into stuff, but I cant call out I get that error, (will ring in but error comes up and have to force close as well) and my touch screen doesnt work, I have to use the little ball to get into things. I have taken the battery out etc. I also get a process com.android phone has stopped unexpectedly error after the first error.

Any idea's if this can be fixed? Thanks.

The water may have screwed it, keep the battery out and let it dry for a couple of days.
