Problems Flashing Amon Ra recovery on N1

Hello!

I was following the video found here to root my N1.

in the bootloader, i flashed the recovery img file (no error messages) but when i reboot the recovery, i'm getting the "!" screen.

i'm using the latest recovery image that is found on this page.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. any advice is appreciated.

did u unlock the bootloader?

Yeah, I was able to figure it out.

The flash wasn't "sticking" but i was able to get it working with the workaround described on this page.
