Please help!! screen frozen....

Hello Android community. This is my first post ever so im sorry if this is in the wrong category or something.
I have a modded jf rc33 g1, a 16 gb micro sd with 4gb of ext2 partion wich i have been using to run apps off of. I had the aHome theme as my default screen but about a week ago, after normal web browsing, my screen went black except for the notification bar at the top. I thought it was a simple problem which could be fixed by rebooting, but after doing so the screen got stuck at the g1 logo.
From then, I have tried multiple factory resets and I've tried downgrading to rc29 then to rc33, but now my phone gets locked at the android logo. I believe the problem has something to do with the aHome app thats on the ext2 part of my sd card, but i have no clue how to see the apps on the ex2 part.
Please help. I'm not a very tech savvy person so I would appreciate if anyone could dumb down some steps on how to fix this.

Wait, so if you put rc 29 on your sd card and update, it wont work?

thnx 4 the quick reply. And no, i tried it and it didnt work for me.

That doesnt make any sense, do a wipe in recovery mode, and then apply the the latest rc 33 update again. Maybe do a wipe again after that just to be sure.

I tried doing the rc29 thing again and this time it worked.. thank you for your help.
