    Default ok a noob here

I am currently on a bachelor project involving developing a program to track and test signal connectivity on an N810 using Android. Now, my problem is a simple one, and hope it is easily answered. I use Eclipse with the Android plugin. But I can't for the life of me get my programs to run on my N810 that has Android installed. I haven't found any guides to do this, so in a small hope I thought that it might be as simple as copying the program folder from the Eclipse works folder onto my N810, I tried placing it in root and also tried placing it in the Android directory. But nothing helped and when running Android I can't see my program yet alone run it. So if anyone could please tell me how to do this I would be very happy. ~Kaneda

Have you tried running the program on the emulator just to see if it works there first?

Yes it works fine. The problem I have is how to upload it to my N810. It is just a hello world thingie to test with.

Wish I could help you but I'm really not familiar with that platform.

Is it emulating Android (like what's being done on WM), or is it actually replacing the original OS? Are there files you can browse through and possibly find the application directory to paste yours into?

It runs on top of the Nokia OS, so actually an OS running within an OS, so would say that it most likely emulate yes. But it should work 100% as a normal Android OS except for the extra layer of the original OS to pierce through.

What do you copy onto the Nokia OS to make Android work? Is it a single file or a folder of files? Any way that you could look through those folders and find out where the applications are stored?

http://www.talkandroid.com/134-andro...-n810-install/ That link shows you the steps to get it on the n810. Basically an installer and a packaged data file. I hope someone out there have some experience with getting programs to run in android which is running on an n810

I guess noone knows more about this?

How do you guys do when you want android apps to work on your devices? To me it currently looks like everyone are just working the emulator and nothing else, but I have been assured that it is possible to make it work on the n810 itself.

Would really like some help on this one if anyone knows.. Doesn't have to be for the N810, as long as you have it working on a phone, just want to know how you uploaded the app to the device.

I am wondering if I have to upload through the sdk or just to copy the file to a folder.

Hoping for some further discussion on this one.

I have the same problem --

How do I upload my own app to my real device? My real device is a HTC Legend, but I guess that is irrelevant...

Did you ever get any help on this? It's been a year and a half...
