Not Receiving all SMS text

So i got an odd issue.... I have not called CC because i would put money on it that i know more about this phone then 90% of the people that work for t-mobile.....lol.

So whats happening on my G1 is that i am not receiving all my SMS text messages..... I can receive most but every now and then i a friend will be like a text you... but i never got the text..... And sometimes I will get the text a few or more hours latter... And some i will never get.

Really im not sure that anyone will be able to tell me a solution for this.... I just want to know if there are an other people out there that are experiencing this same issue. If its just me then maybe i need a new SIM card.... i dont know....

Ok so after dealing with this issue for a couple weeks now i called CC and what she told me was that the phone only allows 100 messages total in all threads in the massaging application and if i have more then that then the phone will not receive the text messages. I told her that was the most ridicules thing i have ever heard. She tried to tell me how txt msg are pushed to the device from the network and bla bla bla but you could tell she did not really know what she was talking about. I told her that there are time when i would have over 600 msg in one thread let alone the entire messageing application and i would still get my msgs, but there might be other times after i deleate all them that i only have 50 to a 100 and i will not get msgs. I told here i would try to keep my messages low and see if that worked... Even tho i have more or less done this allready. So right after i get off the phone i deleate all mgs and even power cycle the phone... well guess what... i still didnt get most of the new messages that my girl was sending me. what the hell t-mobile/google someone has to get this fixed. Im going to try and make t-mobile send me a new phone if no one else has this issue.

So do most people keep there messages under 100 or not?

I dont use text messaging much at all... only have 14 on mine and a friend said he text messaged me this morning... never got it. It's been half a day already so that's just my experience.

this is rediculouss. when did this start happening for you?
the same thing just recently happend 2 me lyke a day ago. my boy textd
me and i nevr got it. buht on my threads i had over 150 texts and
they word fine. i dleted all my txts and it still doesnt work.

Ben, I am having the same problem u are, I receive about 90% of my texts but I don't find out I am not receiving the other 10% until I get a msg like "hey, y r u ignoring me!?!?"

I see that you are from the Kansas City area, so am I! I wonder if it has something to do with our coverage? I love this phone, I think it is fantastic, but this msging issue is very frustrating.

I have looked for other possible ways around this, I wish I could send and receive these text messages over WIFI instead of radio (other than instant messengers and tmobile@home) just to see if my issues clear up

I dont have any problem with this at all. 80% of the time I have full bars tho. Are you in a weak area?

Maybe your girls phone is crap! haha j/k i HAVE had this problem with many different phones on tmobile when the person that is texting me does NOT have tmobile for THIER carrier

this happens a lot but you should get it. what i think is that the network pushes. the device accpets. but doesnt show it...

i wish i cud add to this, but i dont seam to be having this problem o hope NOT LOL... my phone slows down after 700 to 900 in one conv..
but with that new picture saving app and the one that saves your txt u can erace without problem

i have this problem right now and im starting to wonder if this have been going on for awhile since some of the text that i sent out and werent getting any replies. damn this phone!
