no wifi at home after root

I have Time Warner's wireless modem at home. after rooting my MT3G, I cannot connect at home at all. I can connect to actual wireless routers at work, friends, etc.. but not TWC's wireless modem, and of course they are no help.

any ideas? (without going out and buying a wireless router)

try going into androids wireless settings and setting up a static internal ip. it'll work. just remember to turn it back off when you connect to other wifi access points.

I have tried that too.. but I don't know what to put in all the IP settings to make it work. and again, Time Warner is not helpful.
