new to the site looks like a good one.just got my G1 and i love it so far.used to have a 8120 bb really liked it but this G1 is awesome.ok couple ?'s i have.

in the picture area i have some pics that i want to hide or not show up in the general pic area,i know with my bb i could hide them and then go to explore and find them but they didnt show up in the regular pic area which thats the way i wanted it.

also when someone txt me a pic i cant find where i can save that pic.

i got the winamp mobile on my phone but i was thinking it was going to be like winamp or *shoutcast that i have on my browser that i can listen to music right off the site* can u download winamp or is winamp mobile do what winamp does but i havnt figured that out yet.

where are some great places to go if any that have more free apps or kool things for the phone.i want to beable to use the phone in every possible way.

I know i'll have many more ?'s but this will do for now. thanks for any info on this.

in my bookmarks for internet pages, can i put them in folders or group them like all my sports sites in one folder and regular sites in one and my music stream sites in another. right now they are all together and would like to put them in groups.

this is only my second time on site but yes i'm trying to read all so i dont bother u guys.

not sure what cases are but i ment apps. that market page on the phone is to kool,i really want to do all i can do on this phone. i love listening to sports talk and already with shoutcast and another sports site i have i can listen,looking for more.

cases like physical cases.
there's a few spots outside of the market for apps. they usually fall into either paid or testing for the app categories in my experience.

as for bookmarks, the only way now is a workaround using a program called anycut putting the links in a folder on your homescreen. opera's browser may have better bookmark management but i haven't messed with it much.

oh and we wouldn't be here if you were buggin' us. but alot of these new user questions are answered in depth already so its good to start with the searching.

and welcome aboard again, its a cool place a few developers hang out here and they listen to and sometimes implement our ideas into apps.

overall i don't think it is better, part of the reason i don't use it. it seems a bit awkward on this phone. another one called steel just came out i haven't looked at it yet, but i think its even more simple then the stock one.

Didn't read through very much of this thread other than the hiding pictures part which you can do by going into your SD card via USB, making a new folder inside of your DCIM folder or w/e it is and putting the pics you want to hide in there.

That's how the lolcat application worked...

I don't follow that, seems the G1 will find the photos wherever they are, how does a new folder fix that? My SD card has all my music with artwork all in different folders, all showing up in pictures.
