Hey guys
I recently cancelled my 30-day trial contract with Sprint (Palm Pre) in order to be able to sign up again for a new contract when the HTC Hero comes out on October 11th. Now, today, I just find out that the Samsung Moment will come out November 1st. Here is my big question: Which will be a better handset?
I LOVE the look of the HTC Hero. I love the hardware, and I love Sense. However, a faster CPU and longer battery life would be nice (I don't want another Palm Pre experience... you know, 1/2 day battery depletion).
I LOVE the fact that the Samsung Moment has a 800MHz processor... That just sounds future proof to me right there. I also like the fact that it has an AMOLED screen (I've owned a Samsung Impression (uses AMOLED), and I loved the screen), because AMOLED's look very nice (rich colors), and they don't use as much battery power. This doesn't make much of a difference to me, but I like knowing that the Moment has 62 million colors on the screen versus the 65,000 colors on the Hero.
So, my plan is to get the Hero when it comes out. Then come November 1st, I am going to go play with the Moment. If the Moment seems like nicer hardware compared to the Hero, then I will trade my Hero in and get the Moment.
My main question: Is it possible to flash a HTC ROM to a Samsung phone? I would REALLY love to have Sense on the Moment... because the Moment hardware + Hero GUI... it's just too good to pass up.
Thanks!
-Mike
I am hoping for the same thing.
