New Alarm Clock App

I absolutely have a hard time getting out of bed. I like to get up early to do stuff in-so-that I have more time to myself after my soul is completely sapped from me (aka work). However, more often than not i find myself hitting off (rarely snooze) and accidentally falling back asleep for a half hour or even an hour.

I got the idea of a alternate way to "turn off" the alarm from this thread, and I was wondering if we could collaborate a bit more on the subject.

The thread suggested:

GPS: idea - turn off after you have moved a certain distance.
Limitation: indoor GPS performance is poor.

Math problem solver - You get to turn it off after solving a certain problem.
Limitation: some people don't like math?

Puzzle Solver (not limited to math) - You are able to turn off the alarm after solving a puzzle.
Limitation: some people suck at puzzles. Finite number of puzzles?

Music Quiz - The program plays a song and you have to solve a quiz on it (Song title, artist, album) to turn off alarm.
Limitation: improperly ripped music sometimes lacks tags. Some people don't fix them.

Limitation: could get repetitive (repetitive == too easy?)?

What ideas do other people have? I've been looking for an excuse to develop something and this would definitely aid me, and maybe someone else

mine wasnt an idea it IS an app its called *math alarm clock* and MOST people dont like math THATS THE POINT OF IT!

Well, like Konzern said, the math alarm clock exists, and like I stated before, the gps alarm clock would be too much of a hassle and would be riddled with flaws.

You could do a lot of things for an alarm clock, just think about the math one, you could do something similar, but with a different subject, or even one that requires you to solve a puzzle of some sort instead of a problem based on a certain subject. There are tons of possibilities.

how about your alarm clock app plays a song from your music. then you have to select the correct artist of the song if you are wrong or you ignore it the song volume increases.

pull the artist from the tag and add random ones according to genre or something

That's a pretty good idea too, sort of like an ipod's music quiz game.

Personally the native alarm clock works for me, it never lets me down.

BUT, there's no harm in coming up with creative ways to wake up, it can make every morning more interesting if you have an alarm clock with enough depth to it.
