Only problem, if you have themes, they overwrite the browser Multi-touch Setting.

I believe you can pull browser.apk, then push it back onto the phone after you install your theme. I'm going to try it later =]

Does the maps app not have the multi-touch zoom in/out? I'm guessing not since it doesn't work on mine.

I really wished the maps and pictures did have it :-). Hopefully in a next release.

UPDATE #1:

I got a reply from JesusFreke (one of the people who compiled the multitouch), he said that it should be fine as long as youre on rc30 or rc8.

UPDATE #2:

this is how you do it.

enter recovery mode by turning off your phone.
hold down power + back
you'll enter recovery mode.
press alt + W to do a wipe (but I dont think its necessary if your going from 1.31 to 1.4)
press alt + S to update to 1.4
press home + back to restart your phone

connect your phone to your computer via usb

go into adb and type:
adb remount
adb pull /system/app browser.apk browser.apk

save browser.apk in the same folder as adb.

turn off your phone.
unplug the usb cable.
go back into recovery mode and install your theme.
plug the usb cable back into your phone.

while youre still in recovery mode, in adb type:
adb remount
adb push browser.apk /system/app

press home + back to restart your phone

Please double check with someone, I'm doing all this off the top of my head, and have yet to try it.

By the way, you should be all good if you don't need to do a wipe. If you do however, it may cause issues if you had the run/install apps from the sdcard hack done before. For some reason my ext2 partition on my sdcard won't mount now. I'm looking into how I can fix this, but just letting everyone know in case you run into this.
