missing "org.eclipse.wst.sse.core 0.0.0" while installing sdk for eclipse 3.5

hi there!

i'm just starting to code for android, so i'm kinda new here... and i just ran into the first problem while installing the sdk within eclipse 3.5.1 on my ubuntu 9.10 (32bit) mashine...

thing is, eclipse claimes that there would be some package be missing and refuses therefore to install the sdk:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
  Software being installed: Android Development Tools 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704)
  Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 0.9.4.v200910220141-17704) requires 'org.eclipse.wst.sse.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found

i found some "solutions" for this on the official pages, wich won't work for me as they are meant to deal with problems from versions 3.3 and 3.4 - and i'm using 3.5... (http://developer.android.com/guide/a...ipsecomponents). no really - i tried them - they won't fix anything for me...

is there anyone who knows how to fix this?

i'm not sure, i don't have a lot of experience with eclipse, but that looks like what was happening to me when i installed eclipse on ubuntu via "apt-get install eclipse"

my problem was that the package, once installed, did not include the eclipse update sites in the installation, so eclipse couldn't get additional packages that are needed...

try checking for the following sites in (eclispe) Help -> "install new software..."

Galileo
http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo

EPP Packages
http://download.eclipse.org/technolo...ckages/galileo

Eclipse Project Updates
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.5

Hi, to solve this you should go to this page:

http://code.google.com/intl/es/eclip...stinstallerror

and follow the instructions. Also make sure you have the correct version of JRE!

I had the same problem with you.My eclipse reversion is "eclipse-SDK-3.5-win32",and my ADT reversion is "ADT-0.9.9.zip".When I installed the ADT,the install details is:

1. Go to Help->Install Software
2. Click on "Available Software Sites"
3. Set "check" on check box - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios (for helios - Eclipse 3.6 )
4. Try to install Android Development Tools

I had a similar problem, but in my case downloads.eclipse.org was down. Sigh.
