    Default Mainstream Skinning

I have to admit that one of my favorite things to do with mobile phone is to make it look like no one else's. This means skinning, changing the boot images, making a different sound/ringtone for everything and making the homescreen look a certain way.

With android, this is stifled somewhat in that if we want x skin, we need x build and x skin will not work on build y, z and theta.

Do you think that google will release a skinning feature; a program that lets us skin just about any image on the phone without flashing and allowing non-root users to partake in this "fun"?

I, for one, would like to see some universality/easibility to skinning.

I would be happy with that. I am happy with my currently rooted phone and I have noticed a significant increase in performance. Even my battery doesn't get sucked as dry as it did on the stock OS. Home responds quicker and has never hung for me yet. I am using an aero theme, but if it is possible to do some kind of skinning, say like how it's done in Windows where you can do the basic skinning, etc. And perhaps make it advanced....

That sounds more like a FREE app idea to me.
