Awesome find dude. I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly for me.

I didnt get the status (text) window that you show in your pictures, but I did get the exclamation mark and phone logo. I just pressed ALT-S like you said and it loaded fine. Rebooted once... now reads RC29.

If you want to get the Status text field as in the picture, press "Alt-L" before the "Alt-S"

I just got the update to work. As others have stated I could not get it to work with the stock SD card included with the phone. As soon as I used a friends 8 gig card worked right away.

Smooth as hell!! Awesome find. Mine worked on a 4GB Micro SDHC card. My guess is that it must be a HC card to work correctly.

i got the update and put it on the 1gig card that comes with the phone but the phone can't find the update or mount the card what do i do?

Ok, I am having an issue. The installation worked great. However, when I plug my phone into my USB on my laptop and go to My Computer, it does show the E: drive, but it say "Insert a Disk into Removable Disk (E: and I can't see any of my files on my SD Card.

Help?

Worked perfect the first time. They need to make these a little easier to find for future updates. Works a lot better than sitting around and hoping for it.
