Yes, it seems to have gotten better today...In fact i'm on 3G right now, maybe it was that inevitable switch from Free Week Trial since I got my phone Sat.

Was able to update mine today. Tried with the card that came with the phone and it could not see update.zip. Tried it with a Lexar 512mb card and it worked right off the bat.

Just did this with a non-stock 4GB microSDHC card. It worked flawlessly, with tons of other files on it.

It didn't work for me. I downloaded the zip file and renamed to update.zip and placed in root of card unzipped. When I hit power + home button I get the exclamation mark with the phone and I hit alt-s and it does something quick but it gets stuck there where I had to remove battery for it to start. Anything I am doing wrong.

im pretty sure u dont unzip it keep it zipped and name it update.zip or if u dont see file extensions on your computer then name it update

This update still doesn't fix the Messaging part. It's still Super Laggy when I scroll thru all my threads. Does anyone else have this problem?

By 'the Messaging part', I gather that you're getting that error about not being able to read the number from the SIM when trying to log in to Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger over 3G/EDGE?

I'm seeing weird problems here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Intermittent 3G outages since I forced the RC-29 update (a few days ago), although I can't say for sure there's a relation.

I'm seeing three bars of 3G, but my Android Market keeps complaining that a network error has occurred. And I sometimes have problems with Google Maps not being able to find a connection. x-: Frustrating, to say the least.
