How about a KEXP app that just plays the streaming music at KEXP.org? Maybe a widget kinda like the last.fm or pandora ones.

KEXP is awesome! I just figured out a way to stream KEXP and other radio stations that have streaming mp3 feeds. Install the free Cherry Rplayer radio app from the Market. KEXP does not show up in the Seattle list, but it is accessible from either a web link or by typing in the address.

http://kexp-mp3-128k.cac.washington.edu:8000/listen.pls

I used the link off of the KEXP blog page to set up the station on my phone using the default web browser. For some reason the link off of the main KEXP page did not work.

I've tried this with C89.5 as well and it worked fine. I haven't tried other stations or other formats (only 128k mp3). I'm using a Sprint HTC Hero.

As far as I can tell there are no dedicated apps for these stations on either android or for the iphone, although they are accessible via an iphone public radio app.
