Just switched from Touch Pro2 to Samsung Moment Questions??

Hey all,


Dont flame me very new to android platform like less than a week, and i'm totally confused with this whole process of customization especially coming from windows mobile.

1. I have been wanting to change the lockscreen wallpaper for some reason it only shows my home screen wallpaper and that annoys me. Any help with that would be greatly appreciated.

2. Whats the deal with the themes and clocks i've been checking things out with the market & not really impressed. Is there anyway to just download a certain clock or theme and install. My firmware version is 1.5 dont know if that helps any?

3. I downloaded some wallpapers from the web and put them on the sd card and when i try to assign them to my home screen it asks me to crop. Now when i do that the pix are too big to crop i checked the size of the pix & they match the screen res size??

If anyone can help me with my initial issues with the phone i would greatly appreciate it.

I'm using a Samsung Moment, the only thing I may be able to help you with is the wallpaper screen size. When u crop, try dragging from the top corner without moving the crop square. It should expand the crop to the full size without resizing.

And with themes, I suggest using SweeterHome...it offers insane customization...check out my post in the "Home Stick" (it's the latest one) to check out what you can do with it.

You need a home replacement app ...

So far there isn't much customization you can do to the Moment. You can get some home replacements but as far as custom ROM's and being able to really change the look of the phone, you can't do it right now. I came from Touch Pro and I'm thinking of giving my wife this phone and taking her TP2 since I just brought it. I hate that you can't really customize the Moment like you can the other android phones.
