Make sure your sd card is in well . Take it out and put it back . And , very importantly , make sure the door to the sd card slot is closed well . It has to be completely flush not just shut , or it won't read your card .
Also , make sure that the recovery image is unzipped in the root of your sd card

ok now im rolling i have the right recovery utility now its blue and has options I have never seen before like move apps to sd card, but now its saying error moving them have you partitioned? well yes i did i have been using jf 1.5 and apps to sd card but I just reformatted my sd card, so does that mean I need to repartition again ? I thought this new build created an ext 3 partition for you therefore not making you do one yourself..

You need to have an existing EXT2 partition in order for it to reformat to EXT3 partition. I recommend you check your partitions to ensure they aren't corrupted or anything. I just created a EXT3 partition before flashing the ROM and Recovery and it works like a charm. You can follow the guide in my sig if it helps.

ok well i got it partitioned and working properly now thanks, my next question is i read that this new rom is compatible with themes for jf 1.5adp which is what i just came from before this rom, so is it safe to say that the hero theme over at xda is a solid choice if i choose to theme my phone, can anyone vouche for it?

Hero theme is a solid choice indeed. Just view my sig, that's what's on my G1 right now

Kyle- Any time you partition your ext2 partition bigger than 1.5gb Android will give you the low memory error. My advice is to keep it below 1.5gb because if you think that you need more than that for apps then you are probably wrong. (it would take thousands of apps to fill that amount of space)
