you shouldn't need to wipe.
name the radio update "update.zip", also. alt-s.
So basically, I am in process of rooting at the moment. Actually, I have root.
I have RC29 with root at the moment and am in the process of downloading the JF 1.41 image now. I have a few questions:
1. I rename the 1.42 image to update.zip and press home and power button to boot up in recovery mode. However, then I press alt-w to wipe THEN alt-s to flash the image? Is this correct?
2. I understand what the radio update is, but how do I install the thing. I am going by Koush''s (from xda) rooting guide. Doesnt say anything about it.
Correction*** I am downloading and flashing 1.42

Hi1 first of all, make sure that you rename it to update if you are in windows and see the .zip extension, it happens very often that people rename it update.zip.zip, now the radio update will need to be renamed update as well so make sure you don't have 2 update.zip in the root of your sd card and apply it the same way.. you dont need to do a wipe unless you want to start from zero, you'll lose your settings and apps by doing it.
I hope that helps

Did I Just Become an ANDRODICTO?
So I should take the Hard SPL "update.zip" OUT of the SD Card root?
So it goes simply like this, Update to JF 1.42, then delete that Update.zip THEN flash the radio update as update.zip, same way.
Then i am all set?
can someone tell me what the latest radio version is?
