Default Issue with 3G/connectivity after RC29 downgrade

I am trying to root a G1, after flashing dreaimg.nbh the phone reboots normally, but once I try to log in the associated gmail account, it fails, and I can't proceed. My old G1 went through this process flawlessly, so I'm kinda stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm in the Same exact boat as you.

My phone came as firmware 1.5 with CRB43

I downgraded to RC29. I couldnt login to google so I used adb shell to get to wireless settings to login that way.

I thought all was fine and I just couldnt get service.
I then upgraded to the jf 1.5 cbr43 rom, rooted... ect..

But since the RC29 downgrade I couldnt recive calls or texts.

I thought maybe it was the radio update so I grabbed the 1.5 radio update from the HTC site.

I applied it and now my screen is stuck on the T-Mobile G1 boot screen.

    WTF?? somone please help.

    -UPDATE-

You can try this buddy. I hope it works as I'm in the process of doing it myself.

For me. I need a card reader. You'll need one too as it makes things easier.

    1. Downgrade to RC26

    Reboot.

    2. Find RC30 OTA. Update. Reboot.

    3. Find RC30-RC33 OTA. Update. Reboot.

    4. Find RC33 to Cupcake OTA. Update. Reboot.

Your Connectivity issue should be fixed. HOPEFULLY.
This is the long way, but its the only way I've found the radio updates that go in order so you dont brick.

It seems we are the only two with this problem right now so I dont suggest trying to hard for root right now until someone else can fix this for us.

    Links for the the updates:
    http://www.robotfloss.com/blog/?p=86
[This link has the direct links to the downloads for RC29-RC33]

If you want the US Cupcake OTA use:
    http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.ph...es#Cupcake_1.5
[This link is the USA rom. It includes the Amazon crap, Maps and Voice search]

If you can beat me to it, good luck!

    OK.

    SOLUTION FOUND>

    ^_^

I had been using my sidekick data plan for a while and thought that the data plans were universal.

    Wrong.

Call up tmobile right now and tell them your using a g1 on your data plan.

    Fixed.

Now you can go root your phone.
