Why put in more time training if I don't get greater opportunities from Android?? Do they offer dev points or a chance for more revenue to skilled devs? Can't find any mention of it.
All apps are created equal.
In android all apps have the same chances, they all go into the Marketplace and are all subject to reviews and ratings by the users. Whether you want to spend more money on advertising is up to you, but in the end the success of your app is down to what the users think about it and how well you communicate with them.
As far as I know there's no "premium developer" status or something similar, you don't have any title bestowed upon you by google for being a good developer... but if people like your app(s) then word will spread.
If you want monetary incentive, try here: http://code.google.com/android/adc/
The price you charge for your apps is up to you, and it's a smaller market than for example the iPhone, but there's still a market...
If you're from the company Metia Interactive (I googled) then I'd like to warmly welcome some game developers, as that's one thing Android is really lacking at the moment - most users just want a phone they can ring, send messages, and play games on - but there isn't a whole lot available atm![]()
