Smile Howto take android screenshots in Ubuntu

Hi all, this is just a compilation of the links needed to get android screenshots with an Ubuntu pc...

The WXP method was super simple, but my main PC is Ubuntu Jaunty 64bit and that was a pig!

If you run Ubuntu 32bit then this link tells you all you should need.

However, if you run 64 bit you also need... to do this

It all seems so simple, I already had Eclipse, Java and the ADK installed (or so I thought) but no luck, either DDMS didn't run or it gave errors.

I stripped ADK off hard disk, re-installed and reapplied to eclipse -I tested it by writing (well, copying+pasting) the 'Hello Android' code. This brought up the Android Emulator in eclipse.

Using a terminal I could now run DDMS with success.

I'm still quite a newbie to Linux (user for 6 months or so) so everything feels like running into a wall first. I still need to stop and study the wall everytime.
