HELP Really messed up my G1

Okay this is what happened, I loaded an SPL on my G1

Went to the recovery screen which is the cynogen 1.4 build, flashed it and it rebooted. My phone then went to the T Mobile G1 screen, then turned off again and went back to recovery screen. It said fromating cache for like 7 hours so I rebooted, and it keeps going back to the recovery screen, I tried loading a ROM onto my sdcard but it wont install. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

you are prolly going to have to wipe then reapply the rom

Tried both, tried doing a wipe and reapplying it. The ROM wont install. am I supposed to rename it update.zip. my card is fat32. my phone it NOT rooted I think. I did that one click root thing when I got this g1 and i get the Cynogen 1.4 build recovery screen. This is my third g1 and i rooted my last two using teh dreaming.nbh thing and then telnet, only this time it wouldnt work because telnet wouldnt connect, it wouldnt load the dreaming.nbh and terminal emulator wouldnt connect as well, so i just loaked OTA radio and hard SPL onto my sd and did a flash, now its like this.....

Yup. If you flashed the OTA update you no longer have root.

not so much info you're giving us here, but from the looks of it, you said you flashed the ota radio and Hard spl,

that means you should be able to flash modded roms. since you aren't able to, reflash the radio and spl, find the haykuro "death/danger" spl, flash it,

radio before spl,

and then try flashing the rom, if you still can't flash...

then it's a problem with the recovery image you're using,

you're goin to have to learn how to use adb/fastboot and push a recovery image into your phone, use amon_ra's it has a lot of built in scripts and features already in the menu and will make your life a lot easier down the road.

Now with a functioning spl and recovery , you should most definitely be able to flash roms. Wipe cache/data, and if you're using an ext partition, reformat that as well and then repair the ext filesystem. This ensures the cleanest install. Flash w.e rom after that and boot.
