Well we'll see then, I still stand by my point which is people should not hinge there decisions on jf's mod. I suspect a fully completed jf mod will only be released only after (if one is to be released by jf) the completed release is "officially" released.

I'm pretty sure jf has said he doesn't want to contribute to different distrubutions such as you would find in linux, hence why he'll only modify official releases.

A. I believe he either 1. Only works with official releases (this most definitely is not one) and 2. Only then works on it when it is something he feels he needs or wants (gasp I know how dare he have done this for his own good, and yet still have the nerve to share his androidy goodness with the rest of us)

B. He hasn't been in seen at xda in about a month.... which if that means he's found other interests, well point a.2 means a long long wait.

So yeah just throwing this out there for those waiting for him to wave his magic wand over this and make it spectacular!

Cyber stalking is just as creepy as IRL... but healthy for the rest of us. Good to know.

I don't want to try Haykuro's build because the way to downgrade back and stuff are different (nandroid, adb... I don't know how to do all that). It's probably due to the fact that haykuro is working off of the MAGIC build... and not the, umm, G1 firmware 1.5 build (when it comes out)

What gives you the slightest idea that JF will actually be doing this? I haven't heard his name float around in weeks/months...

I think I'mma take the dive in a lil' in 4.9 when I figure out which backup app to use... MyBackup Pro? Will this really install all my backed up programs without me having to do it one-by-one? And if so, will it let me save older builds of paid apps, like ones I haven't chosen to update? (Like Power Manager, etc.) Thanks, y'all.

Use ASTRO for backing stuff up. And JF has a working mod of cupcake right now, I doubt he'll touch the magic one for now - not until Hayruko finishes it at least. But who knows

Second part was in a thread I just happened to notice at xda the other day.

I actually just saw him with Jack from Jack In The Box standing in front of Burger King eating breakfast burritos with the King in a headlock. It was a sight to see

Months? His last blog post was March 3rd. Plus another person just sourced a blog that shows he has been working on the official cupcake branch. When did everyone become a professional naysayer?

I talk out of my ass, so thank you for standing me corrected. But really, my tone wasn't naysaying at all... It's all how you take what I said out of context... I simply asked a question and stated what I thought/seen/heard.
