GPS app where you can set checkpoints and have the phone alarm when you reach them

Not sure if this already exists or not, I looked but couldn't find any thing that does this. I'm looking for an app where you can set your planned path and then various checkpoints. Then have the phone alarm when you reach the marked checkpoints.

yea i dont think there is an app for this yet but that does sound like a nice feature...

hmmm you need locale only in reverse? I don't think locale would notify you, but its almost kinda if you squint your eyes what your looking for

however with the gps as spotty as it is I wouldn't have much faith in an app like this yet.

I could have sworn there was a 'reminder'-style app that will notify you when you get near a certain location. When I first heard about Android I thought it'd be great to remind myself every time I passed by my mailbox to pick up the mail.
