garage door opener?

so maybe we could lobby the television and garage door industries to change their products so we can use our phones? I imagine that not having to build the openers or remotes would lower manufacturing costs.

I want my phone to be a true universal remote!

Im not to sure i would want that because if i lost my phone, 1. im screwed, 2. they could find my house easier, 3. they would probley be able to figure it out the password a lot easier with the phone or just having to push the button on the phone then have to mess around on the real grage door opener.

Even if it was still keypad password to open it i wouldn't back this idea.

I think they are building them into almost all the newer cars. A phone might be a little difficult. "sorry I ran over that little kid officer...I was looking for my app to open my garage door."

haha. that was good joker. but crazy, what if you lose your garage door opener by your house. and im pretty sure if someone eants to break in. they can. just be easier with a garage door opener with noone home. but with someone home. kinda pointless for them. but i still want to figure this thing out.
