Hi,
I'm trying to make a game using OpenGL ES, but came across a problem. When using textures on my 3d shapes in the emulator everything works fine. The scene displays the way it is suppose to display. But when I run it using my G1 phone I get blank shapes without any texture. This also happens to all the official and professional example textured Cube Demos and stuff. http://www.pragprog.com/titles/eband/source_code When I downloaded that app in the zip from above I saw a 2d textured cube on the Android Emulator, but when I used my phone to test the app all I saw was a 3d spinning white cube without any texture. If anyone can check their phones to see if this is also happening to them it'd be great. Does anyone else have this happen to them? I searched for hours but cannot find 1 question regarding this issue. I don't know if it's just my phone, a glitch or perhaps the phone can't handle texture mapping or something. I really am confused here and any help would be appreciated. Thanks, TariqM |

I just would like to know what happend to the Quake game that was suppose to come with the phone.

I noticed this forum was more fan android oriented, but it is just to lively. The last two developers forums u mentioned are just so dead. No response for days. I'll try that xda-developers one. But if anyone could perhaps test the OpenGL app from my first post and tell me what happens I'd appreciate it. -TariqM |

Hi, I don't have the real device here ,but I think you could try on the examples from Android SDK ,there are some examples about textures in it ,they are supposed to be good on the real phone , if they don't display well ,that's really wried ! maybe the problem about real phone itself ?
