Finally I changed the case of my G1

Sorry for the quality, Didnt have a camera handy so I had to use something from the web, but it should do..

RED=LCD ribbon connector
GREEN=TouchScreen ribbon connector

The TouchScreen connector/port is found under the rubber square gasket highlighted by green.

Theres an article (somewhere online) that shows you how you can paint your G1 housing, of course you have to take off the full housing, but it works perfectly. i tried it and it worked great the only thing is that the paint will chip when ever you dont lay that baby down carefully, but i figured it out. you paint it and then you put a g1 invishield and voila! Succes!

and on your G1, some of the problems i have come across before is that a ribbin could have a little rip. these are delicate things. and since they curve through that loop hole from the front to the back, it can rip easily if you open the screen by accident when you havent fully put the phone back together and ALL screws.

and if you can post pictures of the G1 (opened of course) i might be able to help you out as what is the problem
