The easiest method is to use SK Sync (from http://www.sktechnology.net/android/sksync/ ). This allows you to run a client on your PC/Mac/Linix machine and a matching program on your android. Ypu can configure different tasks to sync, copy to or from your Android into different directories. Once set up it works nicely and I use it via WiFi on my router to my PC.
It is not as good as the my old Palm but now is workable.

Can someone post steps on how to share files between PC and G1 through wifi?
I read that you can use SwiFTP on G1 and filezilla server on the pc?T-Mobile G1
CyanogenMod 3.9.2 + Cyanogen Recovery 1.3.1

Have you tried the app "Bluetooth fileshare" on the market ?
