ur not the first person to think about this but it got fixed with the "cupcake" update i mean i havent deleted my messages in forever and never get lag.
I'm starting to get to the point now that I have so many text messages saved that when I try to load them my phone lags. I know I could back them up or delete them, but I like to have everything with me. This idea would not only keep everything more organized, but help the messaging app load much, much more quickly.
My idea would be when you view a specific messaging thread, it would load only the X-most recent messages and then rest would be folded up by month. If you wanted to go back and view those older messages, you could select the month and then those messages would be unfolded into the thread.
Just an idea I had... but I think it would definitely keep everything much easier and more organized. What do you guys think? Any takers?![]()

Well I figured I probably wasn't the first to think of it, but I've never seen it discussed anywhere. And I still get lag, even since I updated. But regardless, I think it would make navigation through a text thread so much easier.
