Error after downgrading (HELP PLEASE!)

After downgrading, rebooting the phone and getting it to the google setup.. I enter in my information and after about a minute or so of "signing in...." it gives me the error:

"There is a problem communicating with the google servers.

This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care"


I have had this phone for about a month now and just decided to try and downgrade it tonight. Never had any problems. I got the unlimited data plan and everything. Any help would be great! I don't think calling customer care would help because what would I tell them, oh I decided to downgrade it and now it wont work....

i've seen that error a few times. just keep rebooting and trying. you could also wipe your phone and see if that solves it,seeing as how you probably lost everything downgrading anyways. unless of course you backed up first. what steps did you take to downgrade?

I shut the phone off and tried re-downgrading it again and it didn't fix it. I have rebooted the phone about 5 times so far and still keeps giving me the connecting problem.

UGgghh this sucks man.

i got that once... but it fixed it self...

try finding a different version of what ever build or rc version your trying to use and reflash it, there could also be some issue with the keys that is making the big computer in the sky go wait a second...

well give us a couple more details, what are you running what were you trying specifically trying to put onto the phone... details, details, details

What do you mean? All I did was follow the instructions from that thread, I put the files on the SD card after I formatted it to FAT32. I turned the phone off and pressed the camera button and power button. The phone started updating and then i pressed the trackball when it told me to press the action key. I then rebooted the phone and after it booted up I got to the gmail sign in page and i cant get past the login. IT keeps telling me the google connection error that I have posted above and thats all ive done... ahh im soo pissed

i got the communication error before multiple times, the way i got it to work was just keep on trying to sign in, it took me atleast 7 tries before it succecced. keep on trying, dont reboot everytime it doesnt succeed

i meant something like i'm currently running rc33 unrooted and I was trying to root my phone... to rc29... i guess that way of rooting doesn't flash anything? i used a different way back in the old school days when i rooted my phone. i promise it will be resolved...
