Edit existing code on the device?

Hi,

I've just installed the SDK on the pc and figured out how to creat enew projects. What i'd like to know is how can you manage existing settings in the device?

For example, what i'd like to do is when holding the "Red - End Key" and can turn it on "Silent", I want it to go into vibrate instead.

How can someone just make a change in the existing code to do that rather then running a whole new app?

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend going through the documentation for Android before embarking on any kind of major project. If you have gone through the documentation then I would try the google newsgroup section on their website: http://code.google.com/android/groups.html. Good luck.
