that's a great idea. the notification window is definitely one of my favorite parts of android. it's so convenient. i hope android works it into the os more with future updates.

Doesn't the music player itself show up in the notification bar as an ongoing process?

@kkinder it does already show up, now all it needs is a play/pause, forward and backward button so u don't have to switch apps just to change the music. Kinda like when ur on a call and open a different app

Unfortunately, I think that might require rooting your phone. I'm not sure you can put widgets on dropdown notifiers using the stock SDK.

This also wouldnt be a half bad idea. Physical buttons are way underused in this modern android world of ours.

Physical buttons for the win! All android phones need a damn camera shutter button and a pause button in between the up/down volume buttons. Lose the rockers

what would we replace the rockers with? and a play/pause button between the up/down is genius...

as for physical buttons go, i think capacitive buttons do look really, really nice. but i'm sure they have their problems. i'm sure they're prone to accidents, and putting a screen protector over them would lower the sensitivity, but cutting a screen protector to leave the buttons would just look silly. so basically, i gotta agree that physical buttons are awesome.

@kkinder my phone is already rooted, so I think it is possible. I've seen buttons for ending calls there, so it is definentaly doable
