    Default Discrete Texting

The idea for this app stemmed from an ever so jealous girlfriend. The idea is as follows: Have a program where you can select certain contacts, and whoever is included in this list their text messages will not be saved to the general text messaging thread.

Rather their text messages will be saved to a specified location where it takes a little more digging to get to. This way when that jealous girlfriend tries to go through your phone and look for text messages to and from other girls, she will find nothing.

I am not advocating this program because I am unfaithful in my relationships but there are those girls out there that will make a huge deal out of a 'hi' from another girl.

I would imagine that you would also be able to select an option to where the text message from a specified contact is not saved at all on the phone. Also the app would need to be discretely named as well - otherwise a flip through the apps will easily uncover the app.

Further, the text would also have to have a different alert method. Maybe it can be alerted by a vibrate and a blinking light of a certain color or something discrete and along those lines.

FYI - do not turn this into a thread about relationship issues, the app is the only focus.

Cool, but in the mean time...

Just use the "SMS Backup" app to transfer those messages to your Gmail account.

It's really, really hard not to turn this thread into a discussion re: relationships.... so, I will just say: This would not be an app I would need...

Sounds more like you should put a pattern lock on your phone and not let your gf look at it. Respect is part of the game, she should have enough trust to know that you aren't cheating. If she can't handle that, then perhaps you two should seek other people.

Where in this thread does it state that this is my current girlfriend. I see this happen all the time with couples and believe that it will generate much interest.

Also if you think you are qualified to give relationship advice, maybe you should be in a different forum. The name of the game here is to develop programs that people will find useful.

You guys are overreacting... He just needs an App that will hide the certain threads... I'd love to have this as well, since my friends always check out my phone.
