dial and home button not working

Hello, I just got home and reflashed my phone with cyanogen 4.04 after a wipe from enomther 1.7.3 failed to boot up, and now my home and dial button don't work period....ummm WTF?? The phone response to either button (it lights up and comes back from sleep) but it doesn't bring up anything or go to the home page. One thing that might be causing it...not sure... all my apps are still on an EXT3 partiton from a previous version of 4.1.2 of cyanogen, and a few are force closing on start up. So maybe the extra apps that aren't really installed are causing a problem *shrug* I'll post an update after I reinstall all of them and pull them off if that doesn't work.

Anyone have a clue why they'd stop working?

reupdate the rom , then go into the console in recovery and type....

Okay so I got home reflashed the phone with 4.04 fixed permissions and reinstalled all the apps and still the home and dialer doesn't work. This morning wiped data reflashed resetup the phone and now it works. I was swapping sd cards when I went to boot back up with my 8GB that was setup for 4.04 previously and looks like it had some really screwed up permission and caused this.

nice ! apparently you werent the only one with that problem . there is a fix on xda....

" wipe, downgrade to stable, wipe , upgrade to experimental "

just do this and you'll get it up and running! worked for me last night.. thanx simms!

Yea my phone has been doing the same thing on .7 so I downgraded back to .4 or whatever, didn't notice about the call button, hopefully however when I upgrade right meow it will work out for me.
But its not that nig of a deal for me
