Creating skins

hi i tried searching but havn't been lucky in finding a way to create an Open Home skin. Im good with photoshopt and all that i just don't know how to bring it all together once i have created all i would like to. like a clock skin and app bar skin and so on or what the requirements for each image are. unless its not really as simple as compiling some images ty for help
