Hello all...
So we have these fine voice memo programs and the like that will save your audio into an AMR file, which is great because the PHONE can play it back, but let's say I want to do some advanced audio manipulation on the computer and my programs don't read AMR -- at least, not the phone's AMR... What then? I'd like to convert these to a format I can use like WAV or OGG, but although I have found the 3GPP site and their source code for the codecs, and I have found HOWTOs on the net, I'm running into either magic-number issues or the programs and scripts the HOWTOs describe don't work (e.g. output empty files).
Does anyone know of, or better yet, has anyone successfully used, any utilities to convert amr files (like from LiVo or VoiceMemo) into something other people can play like WAV or MP3/OGG? Remember, I'm using Linux. Windows utils won't help here.
Thanks!
CJ
