It looks harder than rooting a G1...

I would like to be able to root without having to use adb since I have a mac.

Just wait, that's what I'm doing.

right now is the time for the hardcore devs to play and it will get easier eventually. The G1 has gone through several iterations of the rooting process and is still somewhat confusing.

on top of everything, stericson also has metamorph working for the rooted cliq !
