Change boot animation, is this how?

i was reading a couple threads and stumbled upon it. have no clue what the first line is or does still learning, but from what i can tell just place the gif and boot sound in ur sdcard and type the commands in the terminal and voila? can anyone elaborate on this more. does the image and sound haved to be a certain size?

the commands look correct. i use adb though. you'll need to experiment as far as image\mp3 sizes. don't try anything way too big,like even 1mb might be too large.

That is the exact string you need it works perfectly as for size i would say dont go above 1.2 megs thats as high as i could get it to go.
