My new droid is getting annoying because I have the screen timeout set for 2 mins so that it isn't draining my battery during every day stuff. But when I put it into my car dock to utilize the navigation, it continues to use that 2 min timeout. So unless I continue to tap the screen ever 2 mins, the screen goes to sleep and I have to push the unlock button on the top then swipe my finger just to unlock it.
Any apps out there that would allow be to set it up to have different settings when in the car dock or when plugged into power than what is set for the normal settings?
I have a couple of ideas for you.
Try Toggle Settings, Locale, or Useful Switchers. All can be downloaded from the Market, and are cheap if not still free.
I personally like Bar Control, and use it a lot throughout the day. It allows you to choose programs to install on the Notification Bar. This keeps your desktop from getting cluttered, and you can access your favorite programs from pretty much any screen.
In your case, with Bar Control, you could swipe down from the top and access Toggle Settings.
Hope that helps.
