Android app for people who need vision correction

Hey you smart guys who make these apps,
Please make an app that would allow me to read messages on my phone without my glasses on. If I could input my correction requirements the phone would aoutomatically correct to my vision requirements. I would pay for this, suspect there would be others too!

If an app could modify the physical curvature of the screen this might work- but beyond that I don't think that any kind of software trickery can modify the way that light is emitted from an LCD screen; you would need a custom screen physically tailored to your prescription.

The phone would need to be help a specific distance from the eyes for this to work. If you hold contact lenses or glasses away from your face you can no longer see clearly with them. The priniple would be the same with an application which attempts to correct itself based on this.

If you were short sighted you'd have to make the text on the screen larger, what about long sighted, astigmatism etc?

Good idea in theory.

Could create a magnifying glass style app like you get on Windows which makes things bigger for people with poor sight - you could then flick it on if you need to.
