Add "end task" to task switch app

We have a task manager like program but it needs is a end task option and it would be a staple necessary to download for android phones... but from a developers perspective since its free now.. to add in that "necessary" part during the "free" period is profit suicide... or is it?

I think many people are holding off on releasing their great apps because they think they will lose out on profit... that's were they are completely wrong...
Let's look at the situation:
*There is currently no way to run apps from sd card... meaning there is no way to transfer apps to other android phones without redownloading them...
*there currently is no way to trial try out app without completely downloading them so that means the users only other way besides download to find out if the app is crap is by forum or articles or blog... but no real demo ... we ll maybe youtube but... regardless having a real model to test out is way more effective than pictures or video...
*the android community has just begun and this is just the first phone... couple months half million people now... several months will be exponential...
*the free app period is only 2 months after that u can charge... there will be more android devices sold after 2 months so those people can pay for your apps...
**** right now your best chance for free reliable advertisements is now....
Release your awsome apps let the current community use it give you feed back to make it better... and remember...
Your best sales men are the people who have used your apps... when word of mouth is spread expect much more profit in return... I hope for you developers sake you read this and come to this realization before your opportunity fades away...
(Sorry for this tangent from main subject but I felt it needs to be said asap... unfortunately I'm out of town typing on g1 and can't cut n paste to send this message on other forum... damnit! Make an app for that option tooo for community forum app!)

I would say we need setting to terminate the app when we want to. Let's say pressing MENU opens up options and among all options there is close app. That would be sweet. Putting the End Task onto the Switcher will just make apps close when we go and terminate it. I had WM device and it was much better to terminate on exit vs going into TaskMan and terminating the task. Phone I believe would start those apps slower - or maybe not?

i would love to have a kill app option for those times when my phone lags, i go and open the task list app and see something like picsay running in the bg when i haven't used it in days...

Maybe the feature that you are talking about is in "TaskOS" application.

That's like the android task switcher that you get by pressing a few second on the "home" button, but you can also kill an app by fraging it to the top of the screen.
