I'm buying a used iPhone as my back up.

Willing to pay $240 for a 1st gen.

It's a backup to mainly act as a iPod touch and a phone if the G1 fails me.

I as well have a 1st gen for back-up, currently using it over an outdated 1st gen Blackberry Pearl. Only thing that sucks is, I wish it was the 3G then i'd be able to switch off considering tmobile will have its 3G network up.
