Default Think T-Mobile Popped The Caps? Think Again.... And Again!

...I guess its time I start being the website whistleblower (since I work at Tmobile!!) And today while working a new section appeared with internet news. HOWEVER its still in a "For training only" status (everyones still being trained and theres no date for it to take effect) So things MIGHT change.. I hope....

The 10GB Cap is coming, And NOT just the G1. This will also include the sidekicks and ALL phones. Yeah and 1/2 the SK calls I had had more than 50GB of usage. I'm predicting a few drunk days after these things take effect .

ALSO we will be redoing the basic phones internet as well and rebranding it as "web2go." So far it looks like a revised basic phone browser with more features. Whoopie! (not)

Last thing I remember is the price of the Sidekick feature is going UP ALOT! Almost double. Matching the G1's plan $24.99 for "unlimited" 10GB of internet. $34.99 for all you can eat (cough 10GB cap)

Lastly when you reach the 10GB cap we will strike the mighty throttle upon your line to 50kb or less.

Just to note this is still in a "Training only" section of our system so I have no idea when these will take effect. Of course I get to be the angry customers verbal punching bag after it happens. So don't be surprised if one day I start acting drunk.

I didn't see anything if it will be applied to existing unlimited plans. I'll try and get more info soon.

If they make changes to your contract you don't have to pa the early termination fee if you want to end the contract.

Ya, thats how it works, you cant change anything because your in contract... but they can. read the TOS. Prices and availability subject to change without notice. up. No the thing that has me concerned is the fact that i have cached over 20mb of browser crap in the g1 in a day on just casual browsing.. double that in normal usage, then include the sync data, the app market downloads, map refreshing and loading... it seems this thing is pretty data intensive in downloading cached data to the phone even when preforming regular tasks... i know 10GB is still alot, but.. its definently looking reachable. Thanks tmo, i love you too!

Yeah, a T-mobile rep told me the 10GB cap over the phone randomly last week. lol. I probably used like 4 gigs already watching all those youtube videos.
