This is not being held by any of the Head Androids, nor is it being conducted by androidcommunity.com. I (PixelHenge) am the one hosting and maintaining this scavenger hunt. ** Please come to me with any issues about this hunt. ** If you bother any of the Head or Lead Androids about the hunt- no more scavenger hunt!! *********** Welcome to the very first weekly Android & T-mo G1 photo scavenger hunt!! ![]() If this one has a good turn out, we will continue to do this every week starting Wednesday evening at midnight. I'm Lindsey, the starter of the Photographer Androids Social Group. Everyone in the group so far thought it would be a lot of fun to have a G1 photo scavenger hunt here with our AndroidCommunity Members. SO HERE IT IS! Here's how it works:-Every week there will be three subjects to scavenge. -The subjects will be from suggestions made by group members the previous week. -I will try to choose the subjects most suggested, or the really challenging or weird ones. -You will have one week to post your submissions in the thread for that week. -The first ten people to submit all three photos will be posted to a poll in the following weeks scavenge where members can vote on the best set. -The winners of the polls will be posted on the following weeks threads in a growing list below the rules. -You can still continue to submit your entries to the thread even if ten people have already entered all three photos. (We still want to see what you came up with!!) -If you are included on a poll and win with the most votes, you can still continue to enter every weekly hunt afterwards, but for two weeks you will not be included in the hunt's poll even if you are in the first ten, and so the eleventh (ect..) person to submit will be voted on instead. So you can only win every three weeks. (this is just to give everyone a chance) -When you post your submission to this thread, please make suggestions about next weeks scavenge subjects, if you have any! Fell free to comment on other's submission, but REMEMBER that this is suppose to be silly and fun. Here's the rules:1: You must join the Photographer Androids Social Group before submission. 2: All pictures should be uploaded from your computer to an album in your user albums here at AndroidCommunity. The album should be named "Android Weekly Scavenger Hunt". (I was informed by refused9150 that AC would like all photos uploaded to the community and NOT linked from outside sources such as photobucket or picasa, please abide by this or there will be no scavenger hunt!!) 3: The pictures should be named what the scavenged subject is. If you're scavenging a subject that is "snow", your photo should be named "scavange_snow" 4: The photo has to have been taken with your G1 (or future Android OS model). 5: You can only enter one time! Only three photos, one for each subject. Please try to submit with all of your photos in one post! Not three posts with one picture each. Once a photo has been submitted, it cannot be altered in any way or swapped for a different photo. 6: NO PHOTOSHOP (or any other imaging program). You will be allowed to rotate your photo as necessary and crop ONLY if it's needed after rotation, but that's it! That means no layers, no colleges, no tonal adjustments, no white-balance corrections and no filters. If your image is too dark after capture, you have to follow rule number 7 and be creative. (use a flashlight, another camera's flash..ect..) This is to insure no one is at a disadvantage and everyone (imaging skills or not) can participate. 7: YOU HAVE TO BE CREATIVE!! So if the subject is "snow", it cant be a picture in a magazine of snow or the word written somewhere. 8: HAVE FUN!!! Please make your submission in this format:"Next week subject suggestions" "Comments" *Photo* *Photo* *Photo* Help with member albums: User Albums FAQ Questions, comments or suggestions? I am always happy to make improvements here, please PM me or post in the Photographer Androids Social Group with questions or comments about the scavenger hunt. Please remember, this is just for fun. Do not insult other people's submissions. No flaming, no political or religious comments. This is not being held by any of the Head Androids, nor is it being conducted by androidcommunity.com. I (PixelHenge) am the one hosting and maintaining this scavenger hunt. Please come to me with any issues about this hunt. If you bother any of the Head or Lead Androids about the hunt- no more scavenger hunt!! ![]() ![]() ![]() UPDATE: Due to temporary removal of the above thread the begaining of this was delayed. As this is back as of today we will start now, but from there on these will start on wednesday evening at midnight. So i will do week two the wednesday after this comming (Nov 19th). So you have a week and a half for this first one.

Sounds funs!
Thanks for running the hunt.I think you mean "autumn." This word for the fall season, sometimes misspelled as autum or autmn, comes from the Latin autumnus. It is one of the 100 most popular names for girls. A question about the rules. Image processing of some type is practically unavoidable. How much is allowed? I suggest that entries be restricted to single images (no collages or layers) that have only minor processing such as small adjustments of color, contrast, exposure and sharpness, plus a little cropping and rotation as needed. That will best show off the G1's capabilities. Otherwise, the hunt becomes a Photoshop skills contest. Of course, if you want "anything goes," that's OK, too, so long as we know.
