Just got the Verizon Droid yesterday, and every time I try to text my husband, when the text tries to go through, the area code is automatically removed for some reason and the text won't go through. I have deleted, then re-done his contact info again and again. This happens even when I manually type in his number to text him. It doesn't happen on any other texts. HELP ????

Does this happen to all texting in your area code? Some phones used to have a selection that would drop the area code if dialing within your own area. But, I haven't seen that in years. Still, you might check.

You could always download ChompSMS off the market or Handcent and see if that helps/works.
They're alternative text messaging applications and have more features than the default one. |
