Default Ads in gmail?

Anyone know if we will have to look at google ads in gmail on the G1? With such a small screen, I would hope not, but somehow I don't see G giving that one up.

I doubt they'll have ads in the application itself...

I really, really hope they don't start going the yahoo route where they put the ad in the message itself.

i doubt it, google is too customer savvy to make a move like that... after all they are the original "unlimited capacity" e-mail company, and one of the first if not first to offer 1-2gigs of storage when the competition was offering 2mb

I do not think Google would be that desperate to put the ads all over the websites, online google apps or the phone itself... I would expect that from Microsoft and Yahoo only - not really from Google.
