Default Root on a HTC Dream in Canada with Rogers
If anyone has managed to get root access on there HTC Dream in Canada please post how here. I have tried some of the posted methods and none seem to work. One result I have seen is a model ID error and the update fails, and the telnetd method does not seem to work either.

Rogers has a good rom but I can't let them lock me out.

So far no luck, although I am learning a lot as I go along. Hopefully enough that I don't brick my phone when the time comes.

Hey all, just so you know we are taking up collections to get a Rogers branded HTC DREAM to Haykuro. He was one of the people that worked on rooting the original T-Mobile G1. Also, if you check out Haykuro’s Twitter page here (www.twitter.com/haykuro) you’ll find that he updates on the total of donations. Please donate! Every dollar counts, the sooner we get Haykuro the phone, the sooner he can get to work and we can enjoy ROOT like our American friends across the boarder!
