There has to be a connection issue or try running some of the tests for the touch screen if u can. Aren't there some tests on that manual floating around.

Hey guys I recently tried to change my g1 housing, i swapped it all over and put it back together and it all was working fine and dandy apart from it wouldnt charge anymore, it heats up asif its charging but it just wont charge. I bought an external charger from ebay and charged up my battery, i fitted it into my g1 and it turned on for a brief few seconds before turning off, now it just wont turn on at all, it heats up asif it is on but theres no lights/sounds/vibrations or anything. Im gutted as i cant send it back either bad times...

damn that sucks :/ the price we pay for opening our devices with no knowledge about it LOL.

maybe try opening it agian and make suer everything is connected and etc.

0-3 damn well im not changing my housing just the keyboard if i can ever get to ordering one

Someone should make a very detailed video of opening and closing up the G1 and post it up on youtube. We need a guide to follow in order not to mess up our phones. Just putting it back with the way we see fit isn't always gonna work.
